It is safe to say that this couple are full of creativity.
“I’m a script editor, working with writers for tv and helping them to shape their series ahead of filming. Harry is an illustrator and moving into animation,” explains Roseanna.
But when it came to wedding planning they envisioned a relaxed gathering. Above all, they wanted to celebrate the happiest day of their lives, surrounded by all the people they love. And that’s exactly what they did!
The couple describes their venue, Nancarrow Farm, “It’s a gorgeous farm that the owners have thoughtfully and carefully curated and shaped into the most wonderful location for a wedding.”
Dreaming of a relaxed barn wedding in Cornwall, Nancarrow Farm quickly stole the hearts of Roseanna and Harry.
“We love the barn, the foliage that surrounds the building and the fact that the accommodation is top-notch. They’ve thought of everything.”
The beautiful bride wore an ethereal, off-the-shoulder gown. Layers of airy chiffon cascaded from the fitted waistband. Finally, Roseanna completed her look with a statement gold necklace and pearl drop earrings. Harry looked the part in a navy suit paired with a floral blue tie, perfect for the couple’s Nancarrow Farm barn wedding. Making sure their day was sunny, Roseanna’s four bridesmaids wore sunshine yellow dresses. While the groomsmen all wore different coloured ties and bright boutonnieres.
Choosing to not tie themselves to a set theme or colour scheme for their wedding day, the couple ended up with a whimsical and rustic style. From bright coral dahlia to bold blue cornflowers, all of the wildflowers were grown locally. Because of this, they added a rainbow of colour to the wedding styling. While wooden trestle tables were dressed with rustic details. Including sprigs of lavender tied to white napkins finished with twine and luggage label place name cards. Lastly, milk bottles filled with flowers were dotted along the tables. The beans in the barn came into their own, showing off the rustic barn in all its glory.
Heading outside the newlyweds had their romantic couples portrait photographs taken underneath towering trees, amongst bushy foliage and out in the farmland of Nancarrow Farm. Likewise, the team behind Liberty Pearl photography are always inspired by nature. And this venue has natural backdrops in abundance! The couple requested images that didn’t feel rigid or too posed, but that evoked the essence of the day. Happy exchanges with friends and family were captured in a reportage style throughout the celebrations.
Exiting the barn, the couple walked through a celebratory petal confetti moment to cheers from loved ones. Then the couple and their guests enjoyed a canapé reception in the courtyard at Nancarrow Farm. Sitting down to the wedding breakfast, conversation was flowing as guests go stuck into the delicious offerings. After plated starters, large sharing dishes were served for the main course. The entire meal was created using seasonal produce and the farm’s own organic meats. In keeping with the rest of their day, Roseanna and Harry’s wedding cake was far from traditional. A tall tower of chocolate brownies, decorated with chocolate swirls and edible flowers, was the choice of wedding cake. It was cut and shared out after the wedding breakfast.
As the evening guests started to arrive, the dance floor began to fill up in anticipation of the couple’s first dance. After watching the couple sway together as newlyweds, everyone joined them on the dance floor. Top-your-own, wood-fired pizzas were served as the evening buffet. In view of keeping everyone’s energy levels up so that they could party into the early hours.
