Welcome to our first post in the new Marriage Goals blog series! Mount Edgecombe with Lucy and Noah. We are so excited to share amazing wedding, engagement, photography & marriage advice from REAL couples.
We are a team of wedding photographers based in Devon and Cornwall, so this blog post is a little different, but we had the idea of adding some extra value for our readers.
This is the first blog of it’s kind so we would LOVE to hear your feedback!
Lucy & Noah were married in Devon & Cornwall at St Matthias Church in Plymouth and The Orangery at Mount Edgecumbe. We photographed their beautiful wedding and it was so much fun!
Our Highlights of their wedding photography:
– CONFETTI – the cannons were incredible
– The dance floor – so much energy everyone was going crazy!
– The sparkler tunnel – everyone from the wedding, yes almost 100 people came out to join in! So much love in one tunnel! The bride and groom were so happy!
Lucy & Noah have been married just 8 months, and it sounds like they have been working hard from day one to try and be the best husband and wife they can be! Read on to find out their top tips for couples planning their weddings and some great advice for married couples!
We did a pre-marriage course with friends of ours who had been married for a while. They were really open with us (all things money, sex, arguments, in laws etc) which has helped us massively since being married! They were incredible whilst we were engaged in helping us to know what marriage was really like and also, we knew we could go to them if we had any questions.
If you’re self conscious don’t worry – with an amazing photographer (like Liberty Pearl) you won’t even notice having your photo taken! Make sure you suggest the shots that you’d love so you don’t regret it after the wedding!
Ask for help! Friends and family love to feel like they’ve contributed and it can take some of the pressure off of yourself. But equally, it’s your day so ensure people know what is contributing but also, what is crossing the line.
You can really gauge suppliers by their responses from enquiries. Polite, quick and understanding was what we received from all suppliers we decided to go with and they were all incredible!
Know your partner’s Love Language! It has helped us more times than I can count and we have to continually come back to it. It’s helped us to understand how to best love each other.
Please comment below if you have anything to say, thank you for reading and we hope this is a blessing to your relationship, wedding planning journey and marriage. Plus, what did you think of the images from St Matthias Church in Plymouth and The Orangery at Mount Edgecumbe? It was a pleasure to photograph and it looks absolutely stunning.
