When Gemma and Chris approached us about capturing their wedding at Polhawn Fort on the Cornish coast, they said their priority was for their guests to have fun.
They were looking for a relaxed and jovial day, not only as a celebration of their love for each other, but for their wonderful friends and family.
Having been together for nine years and now living on Sydney’s northern beaches in Australia, having Polhawn Fort for the whole weekend was a chance for them to spend more time with their loved ones.
The weather might not have been quite as hot as Down Under, but the Cornish coast lived up to its reputation and provided a beautiful backdrop to their wedding.
Gemma looked stunning in her elegant ivory over champagne/blush gown, whilst Chris wore textured blue. It has to be said that he completely rocked his waistcoat whilst the ushers looked dapper with their braces. The bridesmaids’ mint green dresses topped the whole ensemble of the wedding party, which was understated, elegant and fun.
Beautiful from start to finish, the flowers from Ruth Andrews perfectly complemented the rustic and relaxed vibe of the day.
There was plenty of laughter, tears and special moments, as Gemma and Chris made the most of the breath-taking scenery and spent the day celebrating just how they had hoped they would.
