We loved photographing Megan and Jonny’s gorgeous and relaxed wedding at Dartington Hall.
Megan used to visit the manor house as a child, and knew it was the place she wanted to be married in.
It’s the largest medieval manor house in the West of England and it’s easy to see why it’s described as “possibly one of the most romantic venues in the South West.”
Both from Exeter, Megan and Jonny met at work and he popped the question whilst they were away celebrating their second anniversary. It meant that they had two years to plan their special day, and the attention to detail shone through with their stunning peach and grey theme.
Opting for a dress by Eliza Jane Howell, they were married in the Upper Gatehouse and their reception was held in the 14th century Great Hall.
Complementing the theme, Jonny wore a Ted Baker morning coat in dark grey, with a light grey waistcoat and a peach bow tie.
Highlights include Jonny seeing Megan for the first time when the doors opened and the beautiful firework display at the end of the evening with all of their guests gathered around.
It was a picture perfect day and we’re so happy to have been able to capture it for them.

We absolutely loved having our first ever styled photo shoot featured in the beautiful Wed Magazine! Love in bloom was the theme for magazine this issue and it was great to be featured with such an amazing collection of floral themed photo shoots. The magazine wrote such a lovely feature about the beautiful tropical themed bridal photo shoot. Please read below:
PARADISE FOUND (feature written by Wed Magazine)
Welcome your guests to a gorgeously elegant tropical sanctuary, where stunning blooms dazzle with colour and lush foliage crowns gloriously eye-catching bridalwear.
Located on the fringes of Dartmoor, Hotel Endsleigh is a chic and elegant wedding venue nestled amidst an awe-inspiring botanical paradise: gardens awash with roses, rhododendrons and magnolia; streams laced with little bridges and woodland dotted with grottos, follies and unusual trees from all over the world.
Taking an elegant twist on tropical wedding styling, it was the perfect setting to capture this stunning shoot. “My inspiration came from my love of nature and passion for anything floral,” explains photographer and stylist Amber McCarthy of Liberty Pearl Photography. “Taking a tropical, elegant and chic aesthetic with a huge emphasis on tropical florals and greens, the models wore couture wedding dresses, locally handmade jewellery and beautiful floral designs in their hair.” As well as an abundance of foliage and vibrant blooms, handcrafted details from local talents were a key element of the look: pottery from the renowned Leach Pottery, glassware from Dartington Crystal, cutlery from The Cutlery Commission and exquisite jewellery from Plymouth designer, Victoria Sewart, all added a beautifully handmade and individual touch to this captivating scheme.

Deciding on gold on your wedding colour scheme? Then you’ll love this styled shoot, featuring dazzling metallics, pretty pinks and glam pop colours. A selection of Cornwall’s top wedding suppliers joined forces to create these gorgeous images for your wedding planning pleasure.
Here’s some behind the scenes insights from the dream team involved in the shoot.
“When you think ‘Glam Pop’ I instantly thought about using our luxuriously gorgeous metallic sequin tablecloths and combining that over indulgent glitzy look with our mercury glass ranges,” explains Anna Sawle of Weddings Flowers in Cornwall who styled the shoot. “With a metallic and hot pink colour scheme with lashes of gold, pink and splashes of silver.”
“The brief was to create a fun yet glamorous look incorporating the very current metallic colour palette,” says Sarah Buckmaster of ER Stationery. “I was immediately drawn to an opulent and timelessly classic style to fit in with the surroundings of the venue. Coupled with the colour scheme and theme, I opted to use sumptuous satins and metallic highlights within the ribbons, topped with a stunning diamanté brooch to encapsulate the theme and create a stunning yet romantic design which complimented perfectly with the styling of the day.”

Romantic garden wedding Deer Park Hotel Devon
Last summer I had the pleasure of capturing Georgie and Matt on their beautiful wedding day. The couple chose the boutique hotel Deer Park in Honiton, Devon. The 18th Century Georgian mansion is a delightful bundle of wonderfulness, with 80 acres of glorious grounds, beautiful boutique hotel bedrooms, a very pretty Italian garden.
The couple opted for a really relaxed reportage approach with their wedding photography. They wanted simple and natural portraits without lots of posed photos. So we took a walk through the gardens to find some nice clearings in the woodland to capture some beautiful environmental portraits. The bride is very beautiful and the couple were so happy and smiley throughout the entire day it made my job every easy.
The wedding was lots of fun and so relaxed at the same time. The bridesmaid dresses were in a beautiful pastel blue and looked so lovely. The couple chose a romantic classic theme for their wedding, with a pastel blue and cream colour palette. The bouquets and flower arrangements were filled with pastel garden roses. The bride’s bouquet was just stunning and pot together with cream, blue and mauve pastel flowers. Such a lovely day filled with lots of smiles, love and happiness.
