Bristol wedding – Ashton Court Estate

Claire and Ollie were married in the stunning Ashton Court Mansion in Bristol this November.

Their wedding was themed with the beautiful Bristol Blue* and gold and the couple share a great passion for music so their wedding was a very lively affair. The couple have an abundance of amazing friends and family and it was a pleasure capturing their perfect day!

Ashton Court Mansion sits proudly on the edge of 860 acres of glorious, undulating parkland. Protected by a sweep of high ground, the estate is only a short distance from the Clifton Suspension bridge, and a five minute drive from the city’s vibrant and cosmopolitan centre.

*This shade of blue is used for the world famous Bristol blue glass, which was started back in 1988 by James Adlington, with the help of glass maker Peter St Clair.

Bristol Family Portrait – Vassels Park

In this gallery you can see a selection of photographs from a family photo shoot in the stunning Vassels Park in Bristol. Even in winter the park was teaming with beautiful trees and colourful flowers.

The family had a happy day and we enjoyed the inspiring nature in this unique place.

I love on location natural family portraits, being a natural light photographer I love nothing more than taking a trip to the local park or woodland with a gorgeous family to capture them having fun and smiling.

All life stages can be photographed by Liberty Pearl Photography from maternity to 100-year-olds’ birthdays! I am comfortable shooting any age: babies, toddlers, children and adults, for both full family and individual portraits.

Autumn Winter family photo shoot in Devon – Saltram House

I wanted to test out a location for wintery family photo shoots, so Liberty Pearl and I headed down to the beautiful National Trust woodland at Saltram House in Devon. The Saltram Estate is situated on the outskirts of Plymouth, so it is the perfect spot for an on location family or pre-wedding photo shoot. The autumn trees were so beautifully coloured. We had a lovely morning walking around the gardens and woodland, and I am really happy with the photos. In fact I liked them so much we used them as our Christmas cards this year!

Saltram House is a magnificent Georgian mansion and tranquil garden positioned at the heart of this historic parkland. Saltram overlooks the River Plym and is set in a rolling landscape park that provides precious green space on the outskirts of Plymouth. Strolling along the riverside or through the woodland, you can almost forget that the city lies so close. It is definitely worth a visit.

Bristol family photo shoot

Here is a sneak peek from the family photo shoot this November with the absolutely gorgeous 7 week old baby Jago. It was rather chilly but we went for a walk to Eastville Park in Bristol for the on location family photo shoot. The park is very beautiful and the Autumn colours on the trees made the perfect backdrop for this winter family photo shoot xx

Bristol winter family portrait session

It was a very cold wintery December day but we decided to go ahead with an on location family portrait session. It was the first time I had visited the beautiful Vassal’s Park in Bristol and it was the perfect setting for this family photo shoot. The family wrapped up nice and warm; the leaves had recently fallen from the trees so the branches were very bare but the ground was covered with a carpet of brightly coloured leaves. This was the perfect surroundings for a cute little boy to sit for a lovely natural photo.

Devon winter family portrait session at Devonport Park Plymouth

Here are a selection of photos from a recent winter family portrait photo shoot with the Cullen family. The portrait session held place in one of Plymouth’s many beautiful parks. I loved the burnt orange colours of the beautiful Autumn leaves.

Cornish Wedding – Lydia and Mike at The Green Cornwall

Lydia and Mike were married at the beautiful Cornish wedding venue The Green. A luxurious Cornish escape, set in a private estate surrounded by orchards, meadows, a lake, and the stunning skylines of Cornwall’s iconic mining heritage. It was beautiful day from start to finish. The bride looked like a beautiful princess and the venue looked a dream. As you can see the bride absolutely loves flowers.

Engagement shoot – Bristol at Ashton Court Estate

Sneak peek from a recent {him & her} photo shoot in Bristol. The couple were married last summer, but are moving away from Bristol and wanted a keepsake for their time together in the city.  Lucy and Neil selected some wonderful locations for the shoot including the amazing Clifton Suspension Bridge and beautiful Ashton Court. These are some of my favourite places in Bristol and it was a fabulous day. I must say Ashton Court looked absolutely stunning, I am a great lover of natural light and the combination of winter sun light and autumn trees are just magical at the moment xxxxxx

Engagement – Lydia and Mike in Rilla Mill Cornwall

Today was the first of many engagement photo shoots booked in for this year. Lydia and Mike chose a walk in the beautiful Cornish countryside – an ancient woodland near Bodmin Moor – for their photo shoot. It was a fun day, despite being a little freezing!

Why have an engagement shoot? It’s a great opportunity for us to get to know you as a couple and how you photograph and for you to get to know our shooting style. It’s a chance to take some amazing photos of you both, to practice and experiment in front of the camera. This will make you more comfortable in front of the camera so there are no surprises on the big day.
