I LOVE THE IN BETWEEN MOMENTS

I have just delivered this beautiful wedding to a gorgeous couple who were married at Trevenna Barns, in Cornwall.

Ash and Kate wedding Trevenna Barns wedding photography in Cornwall

It’s an exciting moment when I deliver a couple’s wedding photos to them, I’m always waiting on the edge of my seat for their feedback, and it’s always lovely to hear their kind words and praise, but it’s also very sad because it is the last step of our wedding journey together.

I love getting to know my clients and finding out about their adventures together, how they met, how they got engaged, and why they chose their venue, it really helps me to capture the best in every couple on their wedding day.

I absolutely love this photo! It sums up the couple just perfectly

So in love and and so happy!

Testimonials 2015 – Devon wedding photographer

wedding photographer in Cornwall Pengenna Manor bridesmaids happy
It’s been such a busy second year for Liberty Pearl Photography, with  27 weddings captured in stunning venues all over the UK I received amazing feedback from my lovely clients.

My aim was to take beautiful photos and make people even happier on their wedding day, by being my friendly, lovely helpful self. I love hearing feedback from my lovely clients, which confirms to me how I achieved this!

Nothing makes me happier knowing that my photographs help people relive their wedding day over and over again, moment by moment and fill them of  joy in their hearts.  I feel so blessed to have met and worked with such amazing people and share their special day with them.

I am passionate about three things:

1. Seeking love – people in love look into each other’s souls, and it is that feeling that I capture when I take photographs.
2. Seeking joy – the most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched, they must be felt with the heart, and it is that feeling my clients experience when they relive their wedding day through my photographs.
3. Seeking uniqueness – I love being me, I am unique and so are all of you and I love celebrating this. I love weddings and families that are REAL and not perfect and pristine. I make them feel relaxed and at ease and capture their true self. The greatest gift you can give a person is to see who she is and to reflect that back to her.

Be a blessing

be a blessing pink blush

I am starting a personal documentary project called ‘Be a Blessing’ about people volunteering or working in their local community and how they are a blessing to those around them. I want to share the amazing work God is doing through people in local communities and how lives are changed through kindness, compassion and love.

If you know someone who works tirelessly to change their community and share God’s love by being a blessing, please share this post and pass on my details.

I would love to meet and interview people, and find out about what they are doing, photograph them and their team and maybe some users of their community groups?

I love meeting people, hearing their stories and sharing people’s passions. I love community work, I love inspiring people and want to share how acts of kindness can change someone’s life and change the world around them.

This is something that has been on my heart for a while but I have never known where to start or how to find these people.

I have always wanted to use my God given gift as a photographer to make a difference in people’s lives and to inspire people, so please get into contact if you would like to be featured on my ‘Be A Blessing’ blog series.

Bristol wedding – Ashton Court Estate

Claire and Ollie were married in the stunning Ashton Court Mansion in Bristol this November.

Their wedding was themed with the beautiful Bristol Blue* and gold and the couple share a great passion for music so their wedding was a very lively affair. The couple have an abundance of amazing friends and family and it was a pleasure capturing their perfect day!

Ashton Court Mansion sits proudly on the edge of 860 acres of glorious, undulating parkland. Protected by a sweep of high ground, the estate is only a short distance from the Clifton Suspension bridge, and a five minute drive from the city’s vibrant and cosmopolitan centre.

*This shade of blue is used for the world famous Bristol blue glass, which was started back in 1988 by James Adlington, with the help of glass maker Peter St Clair.

Cornish wedding at Menheniot Church / Boconnoc House and Estate – Mr and Mrs Rixon

This was such a lovely Cornish wedding at the Boconnoc House & Estate in one of Cornwall’s stunning valleys. Of course it was blessed with the typical English summer weather, the day started with torrential rain and lightening bolts, and finished with glorious sunshine and brilliant blue skies! The couple were married in the bride’s local family church in the quaint little Cornish village of Menheniot. After the ceremony they were quickly whisked off in a beautiful vintage car to Castle Air, they couple were greeted with champagne just before boarding their helicopter to the wedding venue.

I had no choice but to travel with the bride and groom to document this momentous occasion. It was superb! I was so excited I almost forgot to take photos! We arrived at the Boconnoc Estate within 10 minutes of flight, to the excited wedding guests who were waiting on the lawn with their cameras at the ready for the VIP arrival. What a way to make an entrance! The afternoon was followed with croquet on the lawn, lots of Pimms, jam and clotted cream scones, dancing and lots more fun shenanigans!

Congratulations to Briony and Edward, your wedding day was just perfect and full of so much love and happiness I know it will last a lifetime xxxx

Below is the bible verse that was read at the church wedding ceremony, it was really lovely:

1 John 4:9-12
This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.

Bristol winter family portrait session

It was a very cold wintery December day but we decided to go ahead with an on location family portrait session. It was the first time I had visited the beautiful Vassal’s Park in Bristol and it was the perfect setting for this family photo shoot. The family wrapped up nice and warm; the leaves had recently fallen from the trees so the branches were very bare but the ground was covered with a carpet of brightly coloured leaves. This was the perfect surroundings for a cute little boy to sit for a lovely natural photo.

Cornish Wedding – Nicola and Darren in Kingsand

Here are few photos from Nicola and Darren’s beautiful wedding blessing in Cawsand, Cornwall in July. The bride Nicola looked absolutely stunning and the setting was just perfect for the wedding blessing with close friends and family. The wedding was held in a marquee at the family home and the gardens were bursting with the colours of beautiful flowers. The children were brilliant in front of the camera, they couldn’t get enough photos and were organising photo shoots with their friends around the gardens; I love kids when they get creative. The evening light was perfect for this beautiful Cornish wedding photo shoot. I love every single photo!!!

Welcome to my blog :-)

Hello
This is my very first post and I wanted to say hello to all my lovely new friends and followers of Liberty Pearl Photography.

My name is Amber and this is my company Liberty Pearl Photography.

I just wanted to tell you a few things about myself….

As you can see from the photograph I have a beautiful daughter Liberty Pearl. She is my beautiful little angel and my inspiration for starting this venture. I have been a photographer for 16 years and a wedding and portrait photographer for eight years.

I started out shooting music and nature photography (strange combination I know) but when Liberty came along photo shoots until 5am in night clubs didn’t really suit my new way of life; I decided to steer my portfolio of work towards family portraits and weddings.

I love being creative and found that wedding and portrait photography was a new exciting challenge for me. I was put off wedding photography because it seemed so dull, staged, and formal. So if you want that type of wedding photography you are in the wrong place.

I am a nature lover and after studying Photography at Plymouth College of Art I changed direction completely and studied Conservation Biology at University in Bristol, consequently you will always find a connection to nature and the beautiful world around us in my images.
I live in South Devon, I am surrounded by beautiful landscapes from woodland to beaches to moorland it’s just spectacular.
I hope you enjoy my website, I cannot wait to meet you.

P.S.
Natural light makes me smile……..I love baking and making things……….I love telling a little story with my photos….
