Engagement Shoot – Wistman’s Wood, Dartmoor Devon

What a day for a photo shoot!!! It was raining, windy and very very cold but we decided to ahead with the engagement shoot anyway!
We walked across Dartmoor to the magical place that is Wistman’s Wood. The couple were smiling throughout the entire shoot! Really looking forward to their fabulous wedding in the summer at Hotel Endsleigh.

Liberty Pearl Wedding Photography include a pre-wedding photo shoot with every wedding photography package. We love being a wedding photographer in Devon. We are based in sunny Plymouth, but as Liberty Pearl Photography is a destination wedding photographer we are happy to take bookings anywhere in the UK or abroad.

Cornish Wedding – Beth and Dan at Plymouth Museum and Kingsand Village Hall

This was one of the loveliest weddings I have ever been to, two very beautiful people celebrating their special day. Beth and Daniel had their wedding ceremony in Plymouth Museum’s main gallery, followed by a short ferryboat ride with their guests to Kingsand Village hall in Cornwall. Beth had decorated the village hall with simple vintage style decor and the lawn was scattered with hay bails for seats. The wedding breakfast was extremely yummy, it was a very British afternoon tea party with tea, sandwiches and homemade cakes brought by their guests. The afternoon was set aside for drinking local cider, mingling, flying kites and relaxing in the beautiful Cornish summer sunshine on the village hall lawn. Congratulations to the Maxwell-Pooley newly weds, your wedding was a truly wonderful day and I was so lucky to be a part of it.

Cornish Wedding – Lydia and Mike at The Green Cornwall

Lydia and Mike were married at the beautiful Cornish wedding venue The Green. A luxurious Cornish escape, set in a private estate surrounded by orchards, meadows, a lake, and the stunning skylines of Cornwall’s iconic mining heritage. It was beautiful day from start to finish. The bride looked like a beautiful princess and the venue looked a dream. As you can see the bride absolutely loves flowers.

Engagement shoot – Bristol at Ashton Court Estate

Sneak peek from a recent {him & her} photo shoot in Bristol. The couple were married last summer, but are moving away from Bristol and wanted a keepsake for their time together in the city.  Lucy and Neil selected some wonderful locations for the shoot including the amazing Clifton Suspension Bridge and beautiful Ashton Court. These are some of my favourite places in Bristol and it was a fabulous day. I must say Ashton Court looked absolutely stunning, I am a great lover of natural light and the combination of winter sun light and autumn trees are just magical at the moment xxxxxx

Cornish Wedding – Nicola and Darren in Kingsand

Here are few photos from Nicola and Darren’s beautiful wedding blessing in Cawsand, Cornwall in July. The bride Nicola looked absolutely stunning and the setting was just perfect for the wedding blessing with close friends and family. The wedding was held in a marquee at the family home and the gardens were bursting with the colours of beautiful flowers. The children were brilliant in front of the camera, they couldn’t get enough photos and were organising photo shoots with their friends around the gardens; I love kids when they get creative. The evening light was perfect for this beautiful Cornish wedding photo shoot. I love every single photo!!!

Wedding details:
Venue: Coombe End, Cawsand
Wedding dress: Pronovias
Make up and hair: Maiya’s hair and beauty, Plymouth
Flowers: Poppies flower shop, Torpoint Cornwall
Rings: Drakes Fine Jewellers, Plymouth

Engagement – Lydia and Mike in Rilla Mill Cornwall

Today was the first of many engagement photo shoots booked in for this year. Lydia and Mike chose a walk in the beautiful Cornish countryside – an ancient woodland near Bodmin Moor – for their photo shoot. It was a fun day, despite being a little freezing!

Why have an engagement shoot? It’s a great opportunity for us to get to know you as a couple and how you photograph and for you to get to know our shooting style. It’s a chance to take some amazing photos of you both, to practice and experiment in front of the camera. This will make you more comfortable in front of the camera so there are no surprises on the big day.

Welcome to my blog :-)

Hello
This is my very first post and I wanted to say hello to all my lovely new friends and followers of Liberty Pearl Photography.

My name is Amber and this is my company Liberty Pearl Photography.

I just wanted to tell you a few things about myself….

As you can see from the photograph I have a beautiful daughter Liberty Pearl. She is my beautiful little angel and my inspiration for starting this venture. I have been a photographer for 16 years and a wedding and portrait photographer for eight years.

I started out shooting music and nature photography (strange combination I know) but when Liberty came along photo shoots until 5am in night clubs didn’t really suit my new way of life; I decided to steer my portfolio of work towards family portraits and weddings.

I love being creative and found that wedding and portrait photography was a new exciting challenge for me. I was put off wedding photography because it seemed so dull, staged, and formal. So if you want that type of wedding photography you are in the wrong place.

I am a nature lover and after studying Photography at Plymouth College of Art I changed direction completely and studied Conservation Biology at University in Bristol, consequently you will always find a connection to nature and the beautiful world around us in my images.
I live in South Devon, I am surrounded by beautiful landscapes from woodland to beaches to moorland it’s just spectacular.
I hope you enjoy my website, I cannot wait to meet you.

P.S.
Natural light makes me smile……..I love baking and making things……….I love telling a little story with my photos….
