Weddings booking process

The process for booking Liberty Pearl Photography for your wedding day is simple.

Step 1(a) – Get in Touch

Please contact me by email, visiting our contacts and prices page or by calling 07863 889 677. If you know the date of your wedding, I can check availability, then we can have a chat about your day: what you would or wouldn’t like, your expectations and your ideas.

Step 1(b) – Questionnaire

After our initial conversation, I will email you a wedding questionnaire; this gives me a greater insight into you both as a couple and your history.

Step 2 – Meet Up

My photojournalist approach to wedding photography is natural and personal so it is important that I am able to meet you both. Every wedding is approached in a unique way and it is essential that I get to know you well so I can capture your wedding day as you require.

I can meet either at the proposed wedding venue or at another location, whichever you prefer. I can show you examples of my previous wedding photography and we can discuss what works for you.

I do not charge for this initial meeting and there is no obligation on your part to choose Liberty Pearl. I understand that choosing a wedding photographer is an important decision, and I will not pressurise you into making the decision quickly.

Step 3 – Booking

If you’ve decided Liberty Pearl is for you then, upon confirmation of booking, please complete our booking form and pay a 50% deposit to secure your date.

Please note that your wedding date is not secured until the completed booking form is received and deposit cleared.

The remaining balance can be paid by one of the following three methods:

• Equal amounts over the remaining months.

• Agreed amounts paid at pre-determined dates prior to the wedding.

• The full amount paid at least 30 days before the wedding day.

If you cancel your booking, the deposit will not be returned.

Step 4 – Engagement shoot (optional)

At a location of your choice, I can get to know you both better, and you can practice being yourself in front of a camera ready for the big day.

It’s a great opportunity for us to get to know each other so that there are no surprises on your wedding day. I can see you together as a couple in a ‘normal’ situation, working out what’s best for you – and you can get to know my shooting style whilst practising and experimenting in front of the camera (and not your guests!)

As a result, I promise that your wedding day photographs will be even more amazing, because you will be entirely comfortable with what’s happening on your special day.

Step 5 – Final Planning

I will then need to catch up 1-2 months before the wedding to finalise a plan for your special day. During the catch up we will discuss:

• Options for groups and portraits

• Timings

• Alternative plans for bad weather (i.e. locations for wet-weather photos).

I will also use the opportunity to speak to the venue to ensure there are no restrictions on photography during the day.

At the end of the final planning meeting, you will be clear what will happen, when and with whom! I will send you a written copy of the plan shortly afterwards, so that you have time to consider any last minute changes.
