Why have a pre wedding shoot
Why
It’s a great opportunity for us to get to know each other so that there are no surprises on your big day. I can see you together as a couple in a ‘normal’ situation, working out what’s best for you – and you can get to know my shooting style whilst practising and experimenting in front of the camera (and not your guests!).
As a result, I promise that your wedding day photographs will be even more amazing, because you will be entirely comfortable with what’s happening on your special day.
Why not use the photos to create personalised ‘save the date’ cards and wedding décor, or perhaps have a large portrait which your guests can sign instead of a book?
What to Wear
Wear your favourite dress, something comfortable, geeky or fun. Most importantly, wear something that is you. We recommend bringing a few different outfits to add variety to your photo shoot.
We also suggest wearing complementary colours if you don’t want to clash (unless that’s the theme!) and nothing with large logos as this may date.
Location
Choose a location that is special and meaningful to the both of you – perhaps where you met for your first date, the location of your first weekend away, or where the proposal took place?
It would be great if the location contains a variety of backdrops and textures.
Fun!
I want your photo shoot to be fun and therefore activities are a fabulous way to get you both laughing and enjoying the experience, resulting in photos which are natural, interesting and catch the essence of your relationship.
I’m more than happy for you to incorporate children, hobbies, pets and props or anything else appropriate into the photo shoot to make it more personal to you.
Style
The sessions can be as fun, natural, staged or styled as you would like them to be. If you would prefer a simple and natural engagement shoot of the two of you that’s just fine, and if you want something staged or outrageous I can make that happen too!
Stylist
If required, I work with a team of hair and make-up artists and stylists to ensure that you are looking fabulous for the shoot. Ask me for further details if you are interested.
How long?
The shoot will take between 1 and 2 hours at a location chosen by you.
What is included?
• Pre-session consultation
• 2 hours of photography ‘on location’
• 50-100 images on disk in high resolution to print and low resolution to email or use on social media
• Images fully edited by our team of experts.
